Créée en juin 2022, Pas à l'horizontale, en fait est une installation sonore et chevillée conçue avec Laurent Tixador, et la complicité active de Pauline Marcopoulos et des étudiants de l'isdaT.
Logée dans un chêne effondré, cette pièce est l'écho d'un portrait sonore de La maison forte. Captations et tournages sonores ont été réalisés sur le cycle d'une année, lectures saisonnières au crépuscule et à l'aube, jalonnées de rencontres avec les "habitants multiples" du lieu (chouettes, ragondins, ruisseaux, écrevisses, abeilles et humanoïdes...). La composition est jouée spatialisée sur un acousmonium de 8 haut-parleurs.
Pas à l'horizontale, en fait is a sonic and dowelled installation conceived by Laurent Tixador and Julia Hanadi Al abed with the complicity of Pauline Marcopoulos and students from the design school of Toulouse (Fr).
The sound installation, housed in a fallen oak tree, is an audio portrait that echoes the territory. Sound and field recordings were made over an entire year, a seasonal recital of dawn and dusk meeting the many inhabitants of the area (owls, coypus, brooks, bees and humans... ). The multi-channel piece is played through eight speakers placed on the architecture of the newly shaped tree. The construction was intended to interfere with the tree as little as possible, with a minimal stage-like space and only one path for the audience, following the structure provided by the tree's branches. For the construction were used only hand tools and the wood of the few robinias that had fallen during the misfortune of the centuries-old tree.
